Salute to Veterans Bowl

South Alabama got its first ever bowl win last season, taking down Eastern Michigan 59-10 in the Ventures Bowl, which was played in the Jaguars’ home stadium.

They should have another, slightly less, significant home field advantage this time around against another team from the Wolverine State.

South Alabama currently sits with a 6-6 record after losing its regular season finale to Texas State. The Jaguars can secure their third consecutive winning season by defeating Western Michigan. They did not have a single winning season in their first 10 seasons at the FBS level.

Meanwhile, Western Michigan finished the regular season at 6-6 after defeating Eastern Michigan to snap a three-game losing streak. The Broncos are searching for their first bowl win since 2021.
