Calling all omelette lovers! Another Broken Egg has a egg-celent selection, including the Mardi Gras Omelette made with Louisiana crawfish and fresh gulf shrimp, as well as some fab Benedicts. If you have a sweet tooth, you can also enjoy delish entrees like the Cinnamon Roll French Toast or Bourbon Street Pancakes.

2. Brick & Spoon

Home to famous, huge Bloody Marys, Brick & Spoon can cure any hangover—and you can even build your own! I recommend ordering the Crab Cake Benny with your cocktail.

3. Central Mesa

Mexican AND brunch food? What more could you ask for? Serving an incredible huevos rancheros and breakfast bowl, Central Mesa’s brunch is one of the most unique anywhere in town. It gets a 10/10 from me.

4. FIVE Tuscaloosa

I just love everything about FIVE’s brunch. They serve great lattes from its adjoining coffee shop, FIVE Java. The atmosphere is amazing, and the food, from caramel-apple beignets to shrimp ‘n’ grits, will definitely awe your tastebuds.

This local coffee shop is my go-to in Tuscaloosa. Not only does Heritage House make phenomenal drinks—including specialties like The Bama Blitz, Snowflake Royale and my personal favorite, The Sugar Daddy—they also serve a fab all-day breakfast. From Strawberry Nutella crepes to its BYO grits bowl, you won’t be disappointed.

6. River

If you’re looking for a unique and gourmet brunch, look no further than River! Serving fun cocktails such as The Weekender and cranberry mimosas, this urban-style bistro is located on the Black Warrior River and includes a picturesque waterfront view.

7. Waysider

This historic breakfast spot is the perfect destination for Alabama football fans. From Coach Nick Saban’s cardboard cut-out greeting you at the door, to the many pictures of iconic games and plays lining the walls, The Waysider shows T-town’s love for the Tide. You’ll feel right at home inside this cozy alcove, which serves traditional Southern comfort foods.
