Since The Yummy Grill opened in Montgomery in summer 2021, it’s undergone a big transformation. A new look, owners, menu and hours are drawing a fresh line of customers, too. Here’s what you need to know about the latest edition of The Yummy Grill.

Yummy Grill’s new menu

The new version of Montgomery’s The Yummy Grill has a lot of new features, but let’s start with the headliner—the menu. They’re still serving up Southern classics, but you’ll find a refreshed list of options like:

  • Smoked Turkey Legs
  • Wing Baskets
  • Smoked Turkey Club
  • Turkey Burger
  • Fried Green Tomatoes

This updated menu is part of the new ownership of Rechere McCoy and Monica McCoy, who also own the Montgomery food truck Rosemary Bistro.

Under this change of ownership, The Yummy Grill is now a Black and woman-owned spot serving hungry visitors in the Westside community, Maxwell Airforce Base and beyond.

“When we acquired The Yummy Grill, I started calling it a Westside gem, and then our customers started calling it a hidden gem too because of its small size and location. Being able to offer something new and something fresh to a community that is known for being overlooked is my favorite part.”

The new Yummy Grill has a new look, too

If you visited The Yummy Grill before the transformation, you’ve probably noticed a new look with fresh, modern branding.

However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the location. The Yummy Grill is still in the same spot, and is still becoming more and more of a community favorite in Montgomery each day.
