Alabama’s own Desoto State Park has been called a “Mini-Yosemite” by a national digital publication called The Travel.
Desoto State Park — Mini-Yosemite
Last week, the group featured the beloved state park in a guide titled — 7 parks that are like a Mini-Yosemite — comparing it to the majestic Yosemite National Park, one of America’s most visited and ecologically significant parks.
Here is what they had to say:
“DeSoto State Park, one of Alabama’s most underrated state parks, is a natural treasure filled with cascading waterfalls, lush forests, and rugged mountain scenery. DeSoto’s diverse activities and natural beauty mirrors Yosemite’s adventurous spirit, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a slice of wilderness in the South.”
