It’s no secret that Alabama is home to some top-notch golf courses. The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is a crown jewel of the Yellowhammer State—and one stop near the trail is getting national attention. Golf Digest recently picked The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear as one of its “50 best golf trip destinations for women.”

We’ll dive into the honor—and share more about the iconic hotel just outside Fairhope.

What Golf Digest had to say

Golf Digest started their piece with some cold-hard facts, more and more women are hitting the courses—800,000 of them in the last four years alone. So, as more women flock to the sport, writers for Golf Digest put together a list of some of the most travel-worthy golfing destinations, for the girls.

On that list? The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa.

“Onsite there are two courses, and if you want to venture away from the resort, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is nearby. If you want to partake in other activities, there are bikes for rent so you can cruise around bike paths, and country club sport options: pickleball, tennis and croquet.”
