Trash Pandas announce temporary rebrand for BBQ weekend: What to know + how to buy the merch

Alabama is home to one of the most unique team names in all of minor league baseball. The Rocket City Trash Pandas get national attention for their creative marketing skills but for two nights, they’re dropping the Trash Pandas name.

Introducing the Bama Butts + Alabama White Sauce.

That’s what will be on the front of the team’s jersey for a pair of games against Pensacola on June 13-14 at Toyota Field. Tickets are already on sale for the Friday + Saturday games.

Rocket City will don the Bama Butts jerseys for the Friday night game on June 13. Saturday will be all about white sauce.

Both nights will also feature a local barbecue competition with 200 passes available for fans. During the weekend, eight local barbecue joints will be at the ballpark to compete in ‘Best Pork Butts’ and ‘Best White Sauce’ contests.
