Alabama loves going out to the ball game during summer, as this year’s attendance shows. The Rocket City Trash Pandas, Birmingham Barons and Montgomery Biscuits all had impressive numbers this season. Here’s the fast facts.

Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Dayton Dragons and Columbus Clippers took the first, second and third places, respectively, for the most-attended minor league baseball teams in the nation. However, Alabama’s teams drew some impressive crowds of their own.

For the third year in a row, the Rocket City Trash Pandas led the Southern League in attendance, even though their average attendance was slightly lower than last year.

In September 2023, after 18 years, the Logan family sold the Birmingham Barons to Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), an organization that owns and operates select minor league baseball clubs affiliated with Major League Baseball (MLB).
