Shortly after being named the starting quarterback this season, Ty Simpson jumped into the top 5 in odds to win this year’s Heisman. However, after the Tide’s loss to Florida State, he took a tumble down most boards + betting sites.

After leading Alabama to a win in Athens, Simpson jumped back into the mix.

According to FanDuel, Simpson has the second best odds to win the Heisman this year, sitting at 9-to-1. He’s just behind Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, who got a big win of his own last weekend.

Keep reading to learn more about Simpson’s strong start to the season + how he can make Alabama history.

Simpson has turned plenty of heads in just four games this season, accounting for:

  • 2 rushing TDs
  • 69.3 percent completion rate

After a strong first half against Georgia, Simpson actually jumped to the top of the list, momentarily being considered the betting favorite.

  • Passing yards per game (14th)
  • Total offensive yards per game (T-15th)
