USA Today ranks Mobile #2 best summer vacation spot in the nation

Summer is right around the corner, and everyone knows it’s the peak time for a vacation. As it turns out, our very own Mobile got a shoutout in USA Today’s 10Best shortlist of their top spots for a summer vacation in the US this year. Read on to see what they had to say about The Azalea City.

As the birthplace of Mardi Gras, we already know Mobile is city rich in history, culture and fun times for all. USA Today’s 10Best team of travel editors worked with a panel of experts to create a shortlist of their top summer vacation destinations. Then, it was time for readers to vote for their faves.

The results are in and readers are seeing what we already know—Mobile is an excellent spot for a vacation. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family adventure or even a solo trip, Mobile has activities and sightseeing for all types of fun.

Where did Mobile rank?

Overall, Mobile ranked No.2 in the top ten, beating out hot spots like Chicago, Illinois and Asheville, North Carolina.
