Wawa’s takeover continues on the Gulf Coast.

It all started on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, in Fairhope. Alabama’s first-ever Wawa opened there back in April. Now, two more are opening soon—one based in Mobile, the other in Robertsdale.

We’ve got all the details before the doubleheader grand opening, where officials will officially open not one, but two new Wawas on the same day—August 29.

The first of the two-in-one extravaganza takes place in Mobile. Here are the details of that grand opening:

  • Where: 7095 Cottage Hill Road, Mobile, AL
  • Store open: 8AM
  • Ribbon cutting: 8:30AM

Wawa isn’t done with the Alabama Gulf Coast yet. Two more locations are planned in Mobile and Fairhope.

The one in Mobile is on Schillinger Road—it’s set to open late this year. In Fairhope, the new store will open in the first half of 2025.
