11 first day hikes to ring in 2024 in Alabama

If getting more movement and exercise is one of your 2024 resolutions, here’s one way to get started: a “first day hike.” Eleven state parks throughout Alabama have adopted this fun New Year’s Day tradition, giving you plenty of options to spend the first moments of the new year outdoors.

2. Cheaha State Park – Hike to the High Point | 9AM
