One of the best things about Alabama is how we uplift the arts across the state. Especially now that the weather is warming up, there are plenty of upcoming festivals to support local artists and browse magnificent art. Read to find one near you.

1. Dauphin Island Art Trail—Dauphin Island, April 15

  • What: The Dauphin Island Art Trail is back and better than ever, featuring art from across the Gulf Coast. There are 11 participating local businesses involved in the trail, with over 40 regional artists. There will be a fun scavenger hunt along the trail, so make sure to grab a map and visit all the stops to win some prizes.

2. Art on the Lake—Lake Guntersville, April 15-16

  • What: Art on the Lake is back for its 62nd year, with a fabulous selection of paintings, sculptures, photography, needlecrafts, wood crafts, jewelry and more. Plus, there will be tons of fun activities for kids and adults alike. Enjoy gorgeous views and amazing art!

3. 51st Annual Calico Fort Arts & Crafts Fair—Fort Deposit, April 15-16

  • What: Drawing thousands of visitors, Calico Fort is one of the longest standing and crafts fairs around. Proceeds benefit community projects, and you’ll get to shop hundreds of vendors with locally-made goods, enjoy live entertainment, great food and more.

4. Hog Wild for Art Festival—Camden, April 22

5. Spring Art Market and Open House—Mobile, April 22

6. Bloomin’ Festival Arts and Craft Fair—Cullman, April 22-23

  • What: Enjoy The 39th Annual Bloomin’ Festival Arts and Craft Fair, a two-day juried arts festival with more than 150 booths of artists demonstrating their hard work. Located on the campus of St. Bernard Abbey and Preparatory School, this fest is the school’s largest fundraiser.

7. Piney Woods Arts and Crafts Festival—Enterprise, April 22-23

8. 41st Annual Panoply Arts Festival—Huntsville, April 28-30
