16 new million-dollar construction permits approved in Alabama, May 3rd

The Beach Company Breaks Ground on Two Huntsville Developments
On April 10th, Charleston-based The Beach Company broke ground on two exciting developments in a hot area of Huntsville—The Foundry and The Range. The two projects are located along Governor’s Drive next to The Stovehouse, a popular and ever-evolving social & event space featuring restaurants, entertainment, shops, workspaces, coffee shops and more.
The Beach Company originally purchased the 13.13-acre plot of land in early 2020, in preparation for a massive mixed-use project. Also involved in the projects are:
1. The Foundry Apartments
- Project Cost: $29,341,000
- Project Address: 3700 and 3750 Governors Drive Northwest, Huntsville, AL 35805
- Project: Apartments
- Owner of Project: The Beach Company
- Contractor/Builder: Wieland Corporation
Located next to The Stovehouse, The Foundry is one of Huntsville’s newest mixed-use developments. Once complete, The Foundry will offer 342 multifamily apartments (including 14 rentable townhomes), a restarant & retail space and easy access to The Stovehouse & Campus 805.
2. The Range
The Beach Company’s second project in Huntsville is The Range, a new, modern office development with 49,000 squre-feet of premium office space. Located next to The Foundry, workers at The Range will have easy access to all the ammenties, restaurants and entertainment opportunites at The Stovehouse.
With expansive glass windows throughout, The Range will have plenty of natural light through all three floors. In addition, The Range will have a courtyard with plenty of public seating, as well as an on-site restaurant.
Developers plan to have The Range completed by the first quarter of 2022.
