Alabama loves its fried chicken, so it was no surprise to see the iconic Guthrie’s caught the eye of editors over at USA Today.

One of Alabama’s more unique concepts was also noticed by USA Today editors. Chicken Salad Chick started in Auburn with a door-to-door sales model. It’s since blossomed to a whopping 269 locations across the US—27 of which are in Alabama.
