2 ways you can experience rooftop dining in Mobile
Reading time: 3 minutes
Happy Friday, Alabama! Are you looking to finalize those weekend plans? As I’m sure we can all agree, picking out a spot for your next meal is an integral part of weekend plans. And with the weather this nice (albeit still pretty hot), who doesn’t want to sit outside?
Whether you’re on-the-go or planning something nice, we’ve gathered two restaurants with completely different vibes—both with an excellent rooftop view—for you to make some fun weekend plans around.
Quick & Easy: Greer’s St. Louis Market
Now, we’ve gushed about Greer’s St Louis Market before. But it’s worth mentioning again just to highlight how amazing the rooftop bar is. Dubbed the Rooftop Sit & Sip, the rooftop area at Greer’s is a unique dining experience. You choose your meal from either the hot or cold bar (yes, they’ve got both!) and take it to one of two dining areas, one inside, the other being the roof. Their menu changes daily, but there’s always something good. You can also grab a bottle of wine or some craft beer from their huge selection downstairs.
From the rooftop you get an amazing view of the Mobile skyline, making it an unforgettable spot for dinner. Plus, the rooftop is just so picturesque, it’s just begging to be on your Insta feed. Even better? The rooftop area’s open all day long, so you can enjoy these amazing views any meal of the day.

Higher-class & fancy: Dauphin’s
Looking for a higher-class dining experience? Why not try out Dauphin’s, a top-floor dining experience with those amazing rooftop views? Dauphin’s also locally sources many of its ingredients, like buying farm fresh produce from Baldwin County and fresh-caught Gulf Coast shrimp.
We recommend you try the Grand Bay Shrimp & Grits, an awesome Creole inspired dish made with fresh Alabama Gulf Coast shrimp. If you do choose to go, keep in mind their “classy casual” dress code, no open-toed shoes, jackets for men, etc. You can read the whole policy here.
