5 new locally owned businesses and restaurants to check out in downtown Fairhope

Fairhope has been lucky to have some new additions to the downtown small business and locally owned restaurant scene. Keep reading to learn more about these great new spots and a special grand opening!
1. Five Gold Monkeys
Five Gold Monkeys is a great one-stop shop for gifts, furniture, home decor and more. Additionally, they offer custom fabric and furniture. They carry many local favorite brands such as Estelle-colored glass stemware, Glamour Wash-Diva and Assouline Coffee Table Books. Fairhope is happy to welcome Five Gold Monkeys. You are sure to walk out with something in hand when shopping here.

2. Dukes Clothier
Dukes is a clothing boutique that started in 2016 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The owner soon expanded her storefronts to Birmingham, Athens, Georgia, and now Fairhope. You can be sure to find all the latest and best fashion items in Dukes and stay up to date with all new clothing trends. They have everything from incredible statement pieces to everyday basics.

3. Ferus
Ferus opened in Fairhope back in May and quickly became a local favorite. They offer incredible outdoor seating in the heart of downtown Fairhope and their menu has something for everyone. They offer beer, wine and handcrafted cocktails and great food options like their very popular buffalo hummus. Ferus is located in a renovated historic home and dining here is a great way to feel like part of some of the incredible history in Fairhope.

4. Sean’s Prime Dining
Sean’s Prime was opened in downtown Fairhope in April by chef and owner, Sean Travis. Their menu includes tapas, such as ahi tuna wontons, and popular entrées items, such as lump blue crab cakes. They are a local family-owned restaurant that has great service and even better food. This is a dining experience you don’t want to miss!

5. Pearl Seafood + Raw Bar
Pearl Seafood + Raw Bar is opening Wednesday, July, 6th at 4:30PM. The new restaurant features a main dining room and a beautiful bar where you can enjoy southern but contemporary favorites crafted by chef Will Sams. They will be serving locally-sourced seafood and featuring signature dishes such as their seafood gumbo. Fairhope is excited to be welcoming Pearl to the restaurant scene.
