8 can’t miss events on the Gulf Coast this April

Happy April Fool’s Day, Alabama! Since it’s the first day of the month, we thought we’d kick it off by highlighting 8 exciting events coming this month on the Gulf Coast.

1. The Mobile Chocolate Festival

• When: Saturday, April 9 from 10AM-3PM
• Where: The Grounds, 1035 Cody Rd N, Mobile, AL 36608
• Admission: $4 in advance, $5 day-of | free for 13 & under
• What to Expect: Live music will set the scene for tasting a delicious array of chocolates & sweets. It’s fun for the whole family with kid’s areas and crafts. Make sure you stop by the bar and try a chocolate martini!

2. Heritage Park Marketplace

• When: Friday, April 8, 22 & 29 from 4-7PM
• Where: Heritage Park, 125 E Laurel Ave, Foley, AL 36535
• What to Expect: A late afternoon-evening maker’s market with farm-to-table produce, crafts & jewelry and live music starting at 7PM.

3. Spring Majestic Market

• When: Sunday, April 3 from 12-4PM
• Where: Old Majestic Brewing, 656 St Louis St, Mobile, AL 36602
• What to Expect: A “Sunday-funday” at Old Majestic with all your favorite local artisans, live music & good beer.

4. Mudbugs & Margaritas

• When: Saturday, April 2 from 10AM-7PM
• Where: Heritage Park, 125 E Laurel Ave, Foley, AL 36535
• Admission: $5 | free for 12 & under
• What to Expect: An amazing afternoon full of great drinks, even better food, live music, arts & crafts, kids area and so much more.

5. SBCS German Festival

• When: Saturday, April 30 from 10AM-6PM
• Where: St. Benedict Catholic School, 12786 Illinois St, Elberta, AL 36530
• What to Expect: German culture brought to you by St. Bennedict Catholic School, complete with sausages, baked goods and entertainment.

6. A Very Madd Tea Party

• When: Every weekend in April
• Where: Downtown OWA, 100 N OWA Blvd, Foley, AL 36535
• Admission: Varies based on event
• What to Expect: A fun variety of spring-themed events presented by Foley like pictures with the Easter Bunny, an Alice in Wonderland themed lunch party and Easter egg hunt.

7. Earth Day Mobile Bay

• When: Saturday, April 23 from 10AM-7PM
• Where: Fairhope South Beach Park, S Mobile Street, Fairhope, AL 36532
• What to Expect: Learn all about this beautiful planet we all call home and honor Earth Day with live music, exhibits and more.
