Doncasters team at the announcement with Made in Alabama (City of Auburn)

Auburn is adding yet another business as Doncasters has announced a new facility in Alabama.

The international company, which manufactures superalloys and high-precision casting components used in aerospace + energy sectors, recently announced a $50 million capital investment in Auburn.

The new facility is expected to employ roughly 70 people within three years.

Doncasters expanding operations in Alabama

Doncasters, an England-based company, manufactures highly engineered precision cast components and superalloys primarily serving the high-growth aerospace and industrial gas turbine end markets.

The new facility will not be Doncasters’ first presence in Alabama. The company has a precision casting facility in Oxford that has seen multiple expansions in recent years.

The new Auburn facility announcement was celebrated Monday at the Farnborough International Airshow outside London.

The site will specialize in the production of high-performance vacuum master melt superalloys for use in aerospace and industrial gas turbine engines, as well as other demanding commercial and industrial applications.

The state’s partnership with the company includes Job Act incentives and AIDT workforce recruitment and training services.

Auburn’s incentives to Doncasters include the property where the new facility will be constructed, a 10-year property tax abatement and sales and use tax abatements.
