Auburn gymnastics star Suni Lee looks to defend all-around gold at 2024 Olympics

One of the most anticipated events of this summer’s Olympic Games is gymnastics and the reigning all-around gold medalist will be returning to the floor.
Since claiming gold in Tokyo, Suni Lee had a short but accomplished college career at Auburn University. Keep reading to find out more about Lee’s career + check out the complete gymnastics schedule in Paris.

Suni Lee
Suni Lee was born in Minnesota and was on the international scene of the sport at a very young age. After competing with the junior national team, Lee verbally committed in 2017 to compete at Auburn.
Before going to college, she got a taste of the Olympics for the first time. During the 2020 Olympics, Lee grabbed the spotlight when Simone Biles had to exit with an injury.
In Tokyo, Lee won three medals including:
- Gold – All-around
- Silver – Team
- Bronze – Uneven bars
Just a couple of months later, Lee would begin her college career with the Tigers. Her accomplishments continued at the collegiate level including:
- 2022 Balance Beam gold
- 2022 All-around silver
- 8 perfect 10.00 scores
- Ranked 1st in uneven bars (2022, 2023)

Lee is a part of one of the most experienced U.S. gymnastics teams to be sent to the Olympics. By age, it’s the oldest team since 1952.
