After narrowly missing the postseason during its inaugural season, Dothan United is garnering plenty of attention this season.

Dothan is headed to the Southern Conference Final after winning a pair of playoff games in a three-day span at Rip Hewes Stadium. Here’s what you need to know ahead of the big matchup:

There will be four conference finals held this weekend, officially representing the quarterfinals of the league tournament. That means Dothan still needs three more wins to win its first league championship.

Dothan United finished the regular season with a 10-0-2 record, finishing second in the South Central Division. The Dragons’ 30 points were almost double their total from last season (16).

Lawrence Goddard led the club with 8 goals during the regular season. He added to his tally with game-winning goals in the second half of each playoff game so far.

Goalkeeper Yago Darub has led Dothan to a pair of clean sheets in the playoffs. He led the team with 20 saves and six clean sheets during the regular season.

Dothan has only allowed one goal in its last six matches.
