Get ready to throw a pita party, Cullman. Popular Alabama-based chain Tazikis Mediterranean Cafe will open soon in the Klein Building development in late Fall 2022. Keep reading for all the details.
A highly-anticipated addition
It’s no secret that Cullman has been vying for a Tazikis to open its doors in their city for a while. I mean, they even have a Facebook group campaigning to “Bring Tazikis to Cullman”—that’s dedication.
Members of the Facebook group and beyond will be thrilled to know that hopes have been fulfilled. Tazikis plans to open a new location in the Klein Building, which is currently being developed on Third Avenue SE, according to the Cullman Daily.
The Klein Building, formerly a creamery and ice cream shop, dates back to the 1940s. Shane Quick, founder of popular country music festival Rock the South, has been transforming the 36,000-square-foot building to bring more commercial space to Cullman.

- Pita and Hummus—a pureé of chickpeas, tahini, touch of cumin + lemon juice
- Grilled Lamb Gyro—Taziki sauce, tomatoes, mixed lettuce + grilled onions
- Grilled Chicken Roll-up—grilled chicken, tomato + feta in a griddled flour tortilla, served with fresh salsa
Plus, delicious gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.
