Did you know? Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa gathers local volunteers to build affordable homes for families in need. Not only does Habitat build houses, but they repair them, too.

But how does this relate to Nick and Terry Saban?

In 1998, Terry and Nick Saban established Nick’s Kids Foundation. Basically, they fund organizations that help children in the community. Since 2011, Nick and Terry Saban have funded Habitat homes after each Alabama National Championship win.

Since Alabama has claimed their 18th national championship for the 2020 season, Nick and Terry are excited to kick off their 18th Habitat home.

Are you wondering who is getting the home? Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa announced that the Hamner family will be the recipient. All of this is funded by Nick’s Kids Foundation.

How you can help

The family’s home will be a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house. In fact, it’s going to be a smart home. This means the tech and appliances will all be controlled by an iPad. No data way!

Even if you don’t know anything about tech, you can help build Hamner’s home. Habitat has specific build days, so check out their website to find out how to volunteer. Don’t have the time? No worries, you can also donate.

Excited for football season? Hopefully, we’ll see Saban fund the 19th house next year.
