The Bracket
Much of the seeding came down to the final day of the regular season with some movement between the top four seeds. Teams in spots 7-11 all finished with identical records in conference play which gave Alabama the edge in the five-way tiebreaker.
The Crimson Tide will open its tournament in the first session of Day 1, playing against South Carolina in Game 2. Alabama will need to win to earn a spot in the 8-team, double elimination bracket which begins Wednesday.
Tennessee earned the top seed, overtaking Kentucky during the weekend. Arkansas got the two seed after winning the Western Division. Despite taking 2 of 3 against Alabama over the weekend, Auburn did not make the tournament. Only 12 of the SEC’s 14 teams make it every year with Auburn and Missouri staying home this season.
