Unique Mobile restaurant gets new downtown storefront

Mobile’s one and only ramen shop, Slurp Society, has an exciting announcement: they’re relocating! The restaurant, already downtown, is getting a prime piece of downtown real estate in the entertainment district. We talked to the owner about the move and what’s in store for Slup Society.

About the move

609 Dauphin Street used to house Five Bar, which closed its doors at the end of last year. Now, the folks with Slurp Society are moving in!

The restaurant made the announcement on Facebook, teasing that the new space would allow for an expanded menu, longer hours of operation and opportunities for larger events.

“We’ve made a ton of memories and met a ton of awesome people at our little hole in the wall on Saint Michael St. It’s time to make some new ones. We’re ready to become a bigger part of the downtown scene and just make Slurp Society better.”

About Slurp Society

Slurp Society has been serving up hot ramen and bao since late 2022. Their current location, which will be open until further notice as owners spruce up the new spot, is on Saint Michael St. in downtown Mobile.
