Owners Paul and Jessica Do both grew up in Mobile, AL, so they know a thing or two about authentic Mardi Gras flavor. They have plenty of Cajun classics like po boys, gumbo and red beans + rice.

2. Wishbone Cafe

After moving to Louisiana, owner Paul Dallas was inspired by the unique flavors and welcoming nature of the restaurants there. So, he opened a spot of his own to offer the same to Alabama. Cajun truffles, Bourbon street wings and Cajun shrimp po boys are highlights of the menu.

3. Uncle Mick’s Cajun Market and Cafe

It’s all in their motto: “One bite away from the bayou.” Uncle Mick’s doesn’t shy away from Louisiana favorites like alligator and crawfish—and you can sample before you buy to make sure the flavor is right for you.

1. AARP Mardi Gras Parade and Celebration

2. Mardi Gras Roaring 20’s Murder Mystery Event

Come dressed up in Roaring 20’s and Mardi Gras gear and solve a mystery with the Southern Ghost Girls. You will take on the role of a fun character and play out the part while mingling with the other guests—no memorization or acting experience needed.

3. Millbrook Mardi Gras Festival and Parade

Celebrate Mardi Gras in Millbrook with a fun purple, gold and green themed festival. Enjoy plenty of food, crafts, vendors and of course, a bead-throwing parade.

4. The Order of Cimarrón Mardi Gras Festival

Inspired by the birthplace of Mardi Gras in Mobile, The Order of Cimarrón puts on an extravagant festival every year. The popular parade had over 15,000 attendees in 2020. With over 70 vendors this year, there will be plenty of food and family fun.
