1. Wings of Life Recovery
Wings of Life Recovery is a faith-based recovery center for those battling with the struggles of addiction. Donations assist in feeding attendees of the recovery program.
They will accept food that has not passed the best-buy or expiration date. The food must have a visible expiration date. Wings of Life Recovery also accepts clothing, furniture, and monetary donations.

2. Haywood’s Hope
Haywood’s Hope is a charity organization begun by Mindi Waite Kelly. Kelly has been providing what she terms “blessing bags” to the homeless population in Mobile since COVID-19 began.
Haywood’s Hope accepts foods that can be given directly to Mobile’s homeless population. The best way to see if a donation can be used by the charity is to reach out to them on their Facebook.

3. The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is well known for its part in providing disaster relief and support to the homeless community. But, did you know they also will accept perishable food donations?
The Salvation Army’s policy is to accept all donations and to sort through them at it later time for usability.

4. One Meal Mobile
One Meal Mobile is a local nonprofit that distributes boxes of food to those with food insecurity every week.
They accept perishable food donations including produce and meats in addition to monetary donations.

5. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile
The Ronald Mcdonald House provides a place to stay for families of severely sick or injured children during the child’s treatment.
In addition to providing residence near the hospital, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile provides meals for the families that stay with them.
They accept donations of fresh fruit, veggies and meats, but can only accept these donations in small quantities due to storage restrictions. Our best recommendation is to call and see if they can accept the size of your donation.

6. The Food Pantry at Central
The Food Pantry at Central promotes attitudes of love and respect for all while providing healthy meals for the less fortunate.
They provide a balance of meats, fruits, vegetables and grains in every bag they hand out. Donations can include food or monetary contributions.
