About Jeff Met McCalla Industrial Park

The largest of the new building permits issued this past week is a $30 million project in Jefferson County.

This project involves a 275,000-square-foot Class A tilt wall, 36′ clear, cross dock, distribution/manufacturing facility in McCalla. Ground was broken on the project in October.

Prestige Development Partners, based in Frisco, Texas, bought the land from the Jefferson County Economic and Industrial Development Authority for $991,100 in January 2023.

The manufacturing and warehouse facility will be located at 5782 McAshan Drive and is part of Jefferson Metropolitan Park.
