Park renovation in Tuscaloosa among new building permits

This past week, 13 new building permits were issued across the state for construction projects exceeding $1 million. These include projects in Huntsville, the Birmingham metro, Tuscaloosa and Cullman.

Renovations to Burrell G. Odom Park

The Tuscaloosa City Council approved a $2 million renovation project at Burrell G. Odom park in the city’s West End community.

The renovation project, led by Amason & Associates, includes:

  • Two new playgrounds
  • Basketball courts
  • New security measures
  • Park lighting
  • Additional pavilions
