Building permit for Spring Street Station
The lone million-dollar-plus building permit issued this past week in Alabama was a $1.08 million project that is transforming the old Oxford Train station into a new restaurant.
Spring Street Station will open later this year, a restaurant and event venue in historic downtown Oxford. Here are some details:
- The restaurant is owned by local restaurateur Charlotte Hubbard.
- Spring Street Station will serve lunch and dinner.
- The restaurant will serve “upscale fast food” which will range from special topping hot dogs to wings and burgers.
- Live music will be featured with a venue for young artists to showcase their talent.
- All draft beer served will be from Alabama breweries.
- Plans are for the restaurant to open in the fall.
