When FORTUNE was evaluating the companies, editors there looked at the process, the product and the culture. Each of these was independently evaluated by FORTUNE and Statista. A combination of those scores determined the company’s ranking 1-200.

Regions Financial ranked at 140.

More specifically, this is their score breakdown:

  • Product innovation ranking: 91
  • Process innovation ranking: 148
  • Culture innovation ranking: 130

A release from Regions pointed to new features like Visa Commerical Pay Mobile, Overdraft Grace and Evergreen Week as the initiatives that helped the company make the list.

Regions also made it on the FORTUNE 500 list last year, landing spot number 438.
