9 new building permits issued in Alabama for million-dollar-plus projects
This past week, Alabama saw nine new building permits issued statewide for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Among these permits includes a nearly $50 million project in Auburn and several projects in North Alabama.

Auburn Technology Park West
One of the new building permits issued this past week is for an expansion of Auburn Technology Park West. The permit is for a $42 million project — the largest and most expensive project approved this past week — with the lead contractor listed as Top Global Contractor LLC of Georgia.
The 450-acre industrial park is already home to a dozen national and international based corporations focused on manufacturing operations, such as jet engine and aircraft systems.
