Founded in 1995 and located near Montevallo, The American Village is an outdoor campus designed to help educate millions of students about American History. The latest addition to the 188-acre America Village campus is a replica of Independence Hall, the historic Philadelphia civic building where both the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were adopted by the Founding Fathers. The West Wing of the Independence Hall replica was completed in 2021; the next phase of the Independence Hall replica is scheduled to being construction in June 2023.
