Madison County Executive Airport project
The Madison County Executive Airport in Meridianville — known also as Tom Sharp Jr. Field — is getting a new terminal and other renovations. A building permit was issued this past week for the $9 million project.
The terminal was conceived by NVP Architects to attract private aviation activities to the area and to provide an alternative to Huntsville International Airport.
The building’s distinctive profile, and the liberal use of brick and glass, makes it clearly visible and distinguishable in a sea of metal industrial buildings and aircraft hangars.
