NEW: Gadsden earns national impact award—here’s why

In June 2023, the City of Gadsden celebrated a huge win: Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation, (USNC) a Seattle-based company expanding microreactor technologies, would invest $232 million to bring a facility to Gadsden for the production of its industry-leading microreactor. Now, that milestone is being recognized for an important award. Keep reading for the details.
The national Impact Award
Business Facilities, a prominent magazine for corporate site selectors, recognized Gadsden’s huge milestone on a national scale with the national impact award. Recognizing the significance of the expansion, Business Facilities awarded USNC and Gadsden the Impact Award in the “Workforce” category in the 2023 Impact Award Deals of the year.

Huge companies like Tesla and Amazon were also recognized with Impact Awards, which shows just how significant this achievement is for Gadsden.
