New track at TCHS among high-dollar building permits this week

Eight new building permits were issued this past week across Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Of these, two projects are in the Huntsville area, two are in the Tuscaloosa area and one is in the Birmingham metro.
One of the priciest of these projects is a new track at Tuscaloosa County High School.
New track at Tuscaloosa County High School
Tuscaloosa County High School was the recipient of one of the new building permits issued this week, as construction has begun on a new track for the school.
The nearly $3 million project includes:
- Track surfacing
- Overall site work
- Plumbing and electrical work.
The project was approved last fall. Hall Taylor Construction is the lead contractor for this project.
