This past week, four new building permits were issued across Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1q million. Two of these permits are for a project in Tuscaloosa, while the other two are in the Birmingham metro.

Two of the new building permits issued this past week are on Skyland Blvd. in Tuscaloosa and are for a new CarMax location.

Here are some details:

The project consists of a new construction on a 14-acre site.
This includes a 7,500-square-foot sales and service facility.
The property addresses are 3505 Skyland Blvd. ($2.2 million) and 3427 Skyland Blvd. ($3.4 million).
DBS Corporation of Chattanooga is listed as the lead contractor.
