CarMax in Tuscaloosa one of new building permits for high-dollar projects

This past week, four new building permits were issued across Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1q million. Two of these permits are for a project in Tuscaloosa, while the other two are in the Birmingham metro.

Here’s what we kn ow about these projects:

CarMax in Tuscaloosa

Two of the new building permits issued this past week are on Skyland Blvd. in Tuscaloosa and are for a new CarMax location.

Here are some details:

  • The project consists of a new construction on a 14-acre site.
  • This includes a 7,500-square-foot sales and service facility.
  • The property addresses are 3505 Skyland Blvd. ($2.2 million) and 3427 Skyland Blvd. ($3.4 million).
  • DBS Corporation of Chattanooga is listed as the lead contractor.
