21 new million-dollar-plus construction permits approved in Alabama, Nov 16th

1. New building + waterpark at Cullman Wellness and Aquatics Center

• Project Cost: $7,400,000
• Project Address: 1636 Field of Miracles Drive SW
• Project: Cullman Wellness and Aquatics Center new Building + new waterpark
• Owner of Project: City Of Cullman
• Contractor/Builder: City Of Cullman

The Cullman Wellness and Aquatics Center is breaking ground on a new project after being at full capacity for several years. The addition will include several new slides built into a central tower, a six-foot wave pool, a kiddie pool and an outdoor slide. The project is expected to be completed by May 2022.

2. New MAPCO Express Gas Station in Birmingham

• Project Cost: $3,500,000
• Project Address: 1901 Finley Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35234
• Project: New Building + new Construction of a MAPCO Express Convenience Store with Gas Canopy
• Owner of Project: GA C-Store INC.
• Contractor/Builder: US General Construction INC

MAPCO stores recently opened their first Birmingham gas station and convenience store location on Highway-280 this year. After much success, US General Construction INC will be building a second location on Finley Boulevard.

MAPCO currently has dozens of locations in the Alabama area including Calera, Childersburg, Springville and Odenville.

3. Joey’s Car Wash coming to Prattville

Joey’s Car Wash is known as a clean, innovative, and family-friendly car washing experience. They have a new location opening in Prattville in the Spring of 2022.
