East Alabama Medical Center renovations among new $1M+ building permits

This past week, seven new building permits were issued across Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million. These permits included projects in Opelika, Madison County, Decatur and the Birmingham metro, among other Alabama communities.

Renovations at Opelika’s East Alabama Medical Center

A permit for $2.2 million was issued to Bailey Harris Construction for renovations to the main lobby at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Hospital officials said the hospital’s main entrance will remain open, and patient and visitor flow through the lobby will not be impacted. During the first phase of construction, seating in the main lobby will be temporarily unavailable.
