Homewood project one of this week’s new high-dollar building permits in Alabama

Three new building permits were issued this past week in Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million. All three of these projects are located in the Birmingham metro area.
Of these, the largest project is a $2.8 million permit issued in Homewood. Here’s what we know:

The largest of this week’s new building permits is for a project at the Wildwood Shopping Center in Homewood, just off I-65. Although details on what the projects involves have not been provided, we do know that the $2.8 million project is led by White-Spunner Construction out of Mobile, and is taking place at Sam’s Club at the Wildwood Shopping Center.
White-Spunner has been involved in the construction of other Sam’s Club locations in the state.
