20 new million-dollar-plus construction permits approved in Alabama, June 6th

Shinhwa Auto USA Corp. (Auburn Technology Park West)

Earlier this year, Governor Ivey announced that South Korea-based auto supplier Shinhwa Auto USA Corp. will be adding second manufacturing facility in the Auburn Technology Park West as park of a $78 million investment, bringing 42 new jobs to Auburn over the next three years.
Shinhwa opened its first Auburn facility in 2019, and has used its Auburn presence to help meet the needs of the automotive industry in the United States. Shinhwa Auto USA Corp. supplies parts to the Hyundai assembly plant in Montgomery, Alabama and the Kia plant in West Point, Georgia.
Shinhwa’s new 400,000-square-foot facility in Auburn will allow the supplier to increase its current output of aluminum parts as well as prepare for future demands for electric vehicle production.
