Guntersville Park project + more new high-dollar construction projects in Alabama
This past week, 12 new building permits were issued in Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million. These new permits include nine projects in North Alabama, two in Birmingham and one in Tusclaoosa.
The largest of these projects is a nearly $8 million permit issued for improvements at the Guntersville Park & Rec Center. Here are more details:
Guntersville Park + Rec renovations Phase II
Lambert Contracting was issued a $7.9 million building permit for Phase II of Guntersville Park renovations. Construction began on this phase in late August.
Improvements to the park in this phase include rebuilding the Lions Park complex, as well as adding a splash pad adjoining the Rec Center pool area.Â
Construction is expected to take between 12 and 16 months.
